Page 39, “The Incautious”: “They’re the ones who do not know or regrettably forget that there’s a limit to human abilities, and that not everyone possesses the same reflexes.
They either ignore or do their best to forget that velocity is regulated by immutable lays of physics, which condition the space their car must have in order to halt in time.
They’re the ones who, in an attitude of false virtuosity, drive with just one finger, their elbow negligently resting on the window.
They’re the ones who don’t care if the pavement is wet and slippery, if there’s sand in the road; who overtake other cars in turns when it’s clouded and there’s low visibility.
They’re the ones who don’t take into consideration that others may be imprudent and make mistakes.
They’re dangerous elements and should therefore deserve special attention by those entities with the power to repress or suspend their often repeated imprudences.”
